   CAMPUS CLEANING PROGRAMME

As part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva-2024 Campaign’ being observed from September 17th to October 2nd to promote cleanliness and garbage-free India, Kerala University College of Teacher Education, Mancha' s National Service Scheme, in collaboration with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Centre for Gandhian Studies undertook the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) campaign on October 1st, 2024. This initiative aimed to pay homage to the father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

Following the inaugural session, students were organized into five groups to cover the three designated areas.

Kappa Party : Alongside, Kappa, the traditional cuisine of Kerala was prepared by the students.

                

Participating in a ' Cleaning Campus' programme as an NSS volunteer was a novel experience for me. I could discern a concord among the teaching staffs, non- teaching staffs and the students. Most of the students were everready to help other groups once they have finished the assigned duties of their respective groups, thereby imparting communal unity and harmony as Gandhiji envisaged. Felt elated, as I was a part of the 'Kappa Making' team to prepare our traditional cuisine. Altogether, it was a blissful experience.
