SUPW Service

 SOCIALLY USEFUL PRODUCTIVE WORK (SUPW)

     SUPW is the significant manual work and services which are related to the needs of the society, community, and children and are very much meaningful for the student.  In July 1977, the term SUPW was first coined by the Ministry of Education to encourage the values, morals and educational teachings of great Mahatma Gandhi and the Iswar Bhai Patel Committee gave the concept of Socially Useful Productive Work.

To encourage the Gandhian principles and philosophy regarding the educational system and to develop a coherent personality of a person, one SUPW service and one SUPW product respectively were conducted in Kerala University College of Teacher Education, Mancha.  

STAFF ROOM CLEANING

As part of B.Ed curriculum, on 1st october 2024, Tuesday, the college conducted a programme called " Campus Cleaning".  Our group consisting of Adithyalekshmi U R, Greeshma S, Sandra I Sam (English Optional), Fathima Al Fareena S, Nithya C (Hindi Optional), Anupama S, Athira (Natural Science Optional), Amritha Sri J S, Mohammed Safwan F S (Physical Science Optional), Ansiya S, Nikhila S U (Social Science Optional)  - 11 members  in total, were insisted to clean staff room.  The duties assigned imparted communal unity and harmony as Gandhi envisaged.

LOTION MAKING

As part of B.Ed curriculum, on 29th October 2024, the whole first year students of KUCTE Nedumangad made useful product 'lotion' for cleaning for fulfilling the community - based program.  After 11:30 am, we started preparing lotion . Dr. Renuka Sonny L R, principal of the college initiated lotion making for each optional students.  The nineteen bottles of usable floor cleaning lotion made  were distributed to our college, to the Taluk Hospital Nedumangad, KSRTC Bus station, Govt VHSS Mancha and Govt. LP school Mancha.
