COLLEGE DAY

 ALOHA

The Kerala University College of Teacher Education, Nedumangad, under Kerala University, celebrated its College Day – "ALOHA" on 28th March 2025 in the college auditorium at 10:45 AM. The event was organized by Rithwa College Union 2024-25 and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of students, faculty, and esteemed guests.

The program commenced with a prayer by Sariga G.S, followed by a warm welcome speech delivered by Smt. Bindu S Nair (Staff Advisor). The presidential address was given by Mohammad Safwan F.S (Rithwa Chairman 2024-2025).

The highlight of the event was the inaugural address by the Chief Guest, Dr. Raji V R, an esteemed Counselling Psychologist, Psychotherapist Trainer, and Teacher Educator. She is also an alumnus of the 1997-98 batch of the institution. In her address, Dr. Raji V R emphasized the importance of mental well-being in education and the role of teachers in shaping the future.

Following the inauguration, the Annual Report was presented by Dr. Renuka Sonny L.R (Principal, KUCTE Nedumangad), highlighting the college’s achievements, academic progress, and extracurricular activities over the past year. The College Union Report was presented by Fahmida Sherin N.P (Rithwa General Secretary 2024-2025), summarizing the initiatives and contributions of the union in fostering student engagement and development.

The event also included a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing students for their excellence in cultural activities (Arts day celebration ) conducted on February 5 and February 24, 25. Also, the everolling trophies of Arts and Sports were distributed to the 2023-2025 batch. 

Several distinguished guests and faculty members delivered felicitation speeches: Sri. B. Mohana Kumar (CDC Vice President 2024-2025), Sri. Sreekumar A.S (CDC Joint Secretary 2024-2025), Dr. Reshmi K.S (Staff Secretary), Smt. Lekshmi Pushkaran (Academic Coordinator), Sulina (Dyuthi Union Vice- Chairman 2023-2024), Mohsina Asmin (Rithwa, Literary Club Secretary 2024-2025), Pooja S (Rithwa, Arts Club Secretary 2024-2025), Adithya Anil (Rithwa, Student Editor 2024-2025), Prasanth M (Rithwa, Sports Club Secretary 2024-2025).

The program concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Aswani B.L (Rithwa, Vice Chairperson 2024-2025), expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty, and students for making the event a grand success. Cultural events like dances and songs  cherished the event.
