Women's Day Celebration

CELEBRATING WOMEN'S DAY

Kerala University College of Teacher Education, Nedumangad, celebrated Women’s Day on March 12, 2025, at 10 AM in the College Auditorium. The theme for this year’s celebration was "Educate. Empower. Elevate: Celebrating Women Who Inspire."

The event was graced by the presence of Smt. Leenakumari V G, winner of the Kerala State Teachers' Award 2024, as the Chief Guest. The program was organized under the guidance of Dr. Renuka Sonny L R, Principal and General Convenor, along with Smt. Anila R, Women Cell Co-ordinator. The student coordinators, Kumari Amrutha Sri J S and Kumari Harishma Hari, played a key role in managing the events.

The event commenced with a prayer by the College Choir, followed by the Welcome Speech by Dr. Renuka Sonny L R, Principal of KUCTE Nedumangad. Kumari Aswani B, Vice Chairperson (2024-2025), delivered the Presidential Address, emphasizing the importance of women’s empowerment in education and society.

The official Inauguration of the event was done by Smt. Leenakumari V G, who shared her inspiring journey and experiences as an educator. She advocated on how to be a mentor to today's students and empower women through education.

Bindu S Nair (Staff Advisor),Dr. Reshmi K S (Staff Secretary), Kumari Amrutha Sri J S (Women Cell Student Co-ordinator), Kumari Harishma Hari (Women Cell Student Co-ordinator), Kumari Suleena S L (Vice Chairperson 2023-2024).  Each speaker highlighted the importance of gender equality and the pivotal role of women in shaping society.

The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Smt. Anila R, Women Cell Co-ordinator, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, faculty members, and students for their active participation. The celebration ended on a joyful note with variety entertainment programmes, showcasing the talents of students through cultural performances.

The Women’s Day celebration at KUCTE Nedumangad was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on everyone, reinforcing the need for empowering women through education and leadership.
