 ANTI-DRUG ASSOCIATED EVENTS

As part of Anti-Drug campaign, Kerala University College of Teacher Education arranged different programmes.

Programme structure:

1.Oath taking -  An anti-drug oath was taken With this pledge , we committed to live a drug-free life—for ourself, our loved ones, and our society.

2. Rally - An Anti-Drug Rally was conducted on as part of the ongoing awareness campaign to promote a drug-free society. The event was organized with the aim of educating the public, especially youth, about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

Both these programmes were conducted on 8th April 2025.

3. Awareness Class - 

The Vimukthi Club of Kerala University College of Teacher Education, Nedumangad, organized an impactful Anti-Drug Awareness Class on the 9th of April, 2025. The session was held in the college auditorium at 10:30 AM, with the purpose of educating students on the serious repercussions of drug abuse and promoting a drug-free lifestyle.

The programme commenced with a prayer led by Amrutha Sri, followed by a warm welcome speech delivered by the college Principal, Dr. Renuka Sonny L R. She emphasized the importance of awareness in curbing the rising issues related to drug abuse among youth and lauded the efforts of the Vimukthi Club in organizing such an event.

Dr. Sindhu I P, Assistant Professor of Natural Science, introduced the guest speaker for the event, Sri. V Anil Kumar, Assistant Excise Inspector from the Excise Circle Office, Nedumangad. His insights and professional experiences provided the audience with a deeper understanding of the challenges posed by narcotics and the legal framework in place to combat them. His engaging talk captured the attention of the students and offered practical advice on how to stay away from harmful substances.

The session also included a feedback segment where participants shared their thoughts and expressed their appreciation for the informative and thought-provoking session. Mohammad Safwan delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of the resource person, faculty, and students for making the programme a success.
