KNIGHT'S CLASH & QUEEN HUNTER

The Kerala University College of Teacher Education, Nedumangad, conducted a series of thrilling intramural competitions organized by the Rithva College Union. These events were scheduled to take place on the 24th of April, 2025 between three groups: Yamuna, Ganga and Kaveri, offering a platform for students to showcase their skills, strategies, and sportsmanship in a friendly yet competitive environment.

The "Knight’s Clash" Intramural Chess Competition was held at the College Auditorium, with doors opening at 10:00 AM. Chess enthusiasts engaged in intense battles of wits and tactics, vying for the title of champion in a classic test of mind and patience. 

Alongside, the "Queen Hunter" Intramural Carroms Competition was unfolded at the College Auditorium from 10:00 AM. Each house  sent two participants, and matches  began with a toss to determine the first move. Players  adhered to specific rules, including making a move within 15 seconds once all motion ceases and respecting the integrity of the playing surface. 

The overall coordination and guidance for these competitions were under the esteemed leadership of Dr. Renuka Sonny L R, Principal of KUCTE Nedumangad, serving as the General Convenor. The competitions were coordinated by Sri. Kiran V, Faculty in Physical Education, and advised by Smt. Bindu S Nair, Assistant Professor in Perspectives in Education. The College Union’s student leadership includes Chairman Safwan F S and Sports Club Secretary Prasanth M, ensuring smooth organization and enthusiastic participation.

These competitions were a celebration of skill, strategy, and sportsmanship, inviting students to engage, compete, and foster a spirit of camaraderie. All students and faculty members were encouraged to attend and support their peers in making this day a memorable one!
