Annual Sports Meet – “PADAYOTTAM 2025”

Date: 13th June 2025 | Venue: College Ground

The Annual Sports Meet “Padayottam 2025”, organized by the College Union Rithwa 2024–2025, was held on 13th June 2025 at the college ground with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The event was formally inaugurated at 10:00 AM by Sri. Jiju Damodharan, Physical Education Teacher at GHS Karipoor, Nedumangad, and a Level ‘O’ certified cricket coach.

The day commenced with a March Past by three houses: Kaveri, Yamuna, and Ganga. The March Past results were as follows:

1st Place: Kaveri

2nd Place: Yamuna

3rd Place: Ganga

The Sports Meet featured a series of energetic and competitive athletic events. Students from all houses actively participated in various track and field events, including:

Sports Events Conducted:

1. 100 metres race – Boys & Girls

2. 200 metres race – Boys & Girls

3. 400 metres race – Boys & Girls

4. 400 metres walking race – Girls

5. Shot Put Throw – Boys & Girls

6. Discus Throw – Boys & Girls

7. Javelin Throw – Boys & Girls

8. Long Jump – Boys & Girls

9. 4x100 metres Relay – Boys & Girls

Prasanth received the best sportsman trophy and Athira received the best sportswoman trophy.

For 4x100 metres Relay Girls, the team including me won the second prize👇

The spirit of healthy competition and teamwork was clearly visible throughout the event. The final results of the overall sports performance were as follows:

1st Place: Kaveri

2nd Place: Yamuna

3rd Place: Ganga

The event concluded with a vote of thanks and prize distribution ceremony. Padayottam 2025 successfully showcased the athletic talent, discipline, and unity of the student community
