KERALA SCHOOL SASTHROLSAVAM -2025

 SUB- DISTRICT SASTHROLSAVAM(Science Fair-Maths Fair-SS-WE-IT Fair)

The Sub District Sasthrolsavam held @ GVHSS Vellanad on the 16th and 17th of October was attended by the second-year students of KUCTE Nedumangadu. The event featured various fairs in science, mathematics, social science, and work experience, providing a platform for students from different schools to exhibit their creativity and innovative ideas. The KUCTE students served as NSS volunteers, contributing to the smooth organization of events by assisting in coordination, guiding participants, and managing the activities efficiently.

On the first day, items like collections, charts, working models, and still models etc... were conducted was assigned duty in the LP section for the Collections category, where exhibits were presented under the theme Kalpavriksham. The displays highlighted the diverse things that can be made from the coconut tree, and its parts, showing how every part of the tree is useful.

On the second day, a variety of events and exhibitions were held, including improvised experiments, research-type projects, and clay modelling. Several work experience and craft-based competitions such as scratch programming, agarbathi making, bamboo products, bead work, book binding, coconut shell crafts, coir doormats, electrical wiring, fabric painting, and fabric printing using vegetables were also organized. Other creative events like metal engraving, product making from waste materials, card and straw board crafts, umbrella making, wood carving, pottery painting, and nutritious food preparation added colour and diversity to the fair.

I was assigned the duty to monitor the entire section where pottery painting, fabric printing using vegetables, and wood cutting events were conducted on a single floor. 

These duties provided me with an opportunity to engage with young learners and gain insight into the systematic organization of a large-scale educational fair.
